Need Supply Hiring Creative Project Manager (L.A.)

Need Supply Co. is an established and fast growing apparel company based in Richmond, Virginia, a city which consistently ranks among the “Best Places to Live and Work in America.” Opened in 1996 selling a unique collection of vintage pieces and very cool up-and-coming brands such as Collina Strada, LoQ, Gray Matters, Ganni and Clyde to name a few. 

Currently seeking a full-time Project Manager in the LA office who will work closely with creative department on all initiatives as well as manage the administrative aspects of the creative office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to coordinate multiple projects on tight deadlines simultaneously…  all while maintaining a professional, positive attitude.

The Project Manager is responsible for owning the planning, coordination, and timing of workflow between the Creative, Merchandising, and E-Comm departments for all applicable initiatives. The Project Manager will also ensure projects and product launches are completed on time and within budget.

Your day-to-day would include managing all timelines and details for the delivery of all creative projects within the company as well as a small amount of administrative management of the LA office. Applicants for this role must have an in-depth understanding of all steps in the creative production process – from concepting and pitching to layout and production – for digital and print projects. Experience with and/or understanding of photo shoot production is also a plus. Must be an excellent communicator and motivator, able to work with diverse groups of people and personalities (both abstract and linear), and happy to pitch in and assist the office and/or the team, however needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in creative facilitation role (traffic, production, project coordinator, project manager or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Excellent proofing and editing skills
  • A multi-tasker who can balance quality with efficiency in a fast-paced and growing company
  • Ability to lead, influence, and motivate others
  • Budget conscious; able to maximize resources through creativity and efficiency
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-starting individual
  • Works well under pressure; able to use discretionary judgment and make solid decisions

  • Understanding of digital design process, as well the production of digital creative deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agency experience (preferably in a Traffic or Creative Production role)
  • Interest in and/or understanding of the Apparel/Fashion industry
  • Experience working with or for an E-commerce company
  • Experience with print production and/or photoshoot production
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
  • PMP certification a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of multiple concurrent projects including scope, requirements, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with creative, marketing, merchandising, development, and fulfillment center teams to plan cross-functional project schedules and ensure clear communication among staff and departments
  • Actively track project status, progress, risk and issues
  • Ability to prioritize concurrent projects, as needed, and execute last-minute changes
  • Develop mitigation plans and solutions for at-risk situations
  • Support the tracking of all creative department budget expenses
  • Provide final proofing on deliverables before they move into production
  • Facilitate meetings with all team members and stakeholders
  • Manage project lifecycle from conception to completion
  • Manage timing and deliverables for all creative projects – both online and offline
  • Actively participate in all project activities, collaborating on the content and presentation of key deliverables as required ensuring strategy and quality of content across the brand
  • Enforce best practices and company processes across teams, channels, and executions
  • Clearly communicate roles and responsibilities to team members and project stakeholders
  • Works cross-functionally (internally and externally) to ensure all needed assets, resources, costs and deadlines are identified and managed day-to-day to successfully meet organizational expectations and project goals

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Welcome/greet guests to the LA office
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and inclusive office culture
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory; anticipate needs
  • Act as an onboarding liaison for new hires, working closely with IT
  • Assign keys and alarm codes for approved personnel
  • Initiate, plan and coordinate staff events, as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors and landlord for any office maintenance requests
  • Make transportation arrangements; book flights, hotels (if necessary)
