Mociun is Hiring a Freelance Digital Designer (Brooklyn, NY)

Mociun is seeking an experienced Digital Designer. This role will support the creative and eCommerce teams in digital and visual content for brand identity assets, website, and other mediums as needed. This role reports to and works closely with Mociun’s Creative Director.

This is a part-time freelance mid-level role, working one day per week in our Brooklyn office and one day per week remotely.

Mociun is a fine jewelry brand known for one-of-a-kind and custom pieces composed of rare and unusual diamonds and gemstones. All pieces are designed by founder Caitlin Mociun and handmade in New York by trusted jewelers.

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years of professional digital design experience in a similar industry (luxury/retail)
A portfolio that demonstrates strong email design, digital campaigns, and typography
Experience designing within and understanding the capabilities of ESP platforms, particularly Klaviyo
Clear understanding of email best practices, responsive design, and dark mode considerations
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Working knowledge of basic motion or video editing tools (Premiere, After Effects, or similar)
Strong organizational skills and comfortability managing multiple projects simultaneously
A collaborative mindset and comfortable working cross functionally

RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Campaign Design

Lead the design and management of on-brand email campaigns, product launches, and automated flows
Develop flexible email modules and templates that allow for testing and iteration
Design with responsiveness and accessibility in mind
Understand dark mode behavior and design proactively for it

Digital Marketing & Web Assets

Create compelling digital assets across web, paid media, landing pages, and social media
Translate campaign concepts into cohesive visual systems
Maintain consistency across touch points
