I just spent the last two hours trying to find my favorite picture of Otto, who passed away tonight. In the picture he has a flower crown (!) and is smiling and you can see what a gentle soul he was. I adopted Otto when he was four months old. When I met him for the first time, he immediately darted under my legs and the owner at the time said that’s how she knew I was The One. Otto had terrible separation anxiety because of his previous foster homes, he never really got over it... but we just let him go everywhere with us instead. Otto was nearly 17 years when he passed. He was there for the early days of my relationship with Tom, he was a patient old soul with Ren and Tao who dressed him up and poked and prodded him, and he loved our family so much and us him. We’ll miss you so, dear sweet Ottie.

At the beginning of September, I tested positive for COVID. The whole household did. It was one of the scariest things I've ever experienced because we didn't know what to expect. The symptoms came day by day and it felt like waiting for my doom. I didn’t want to talk about this but thought it's important to highlight my experience in light of the dumbass telling lies. . . It was hard to breathe, hard to sleep and hard to eat. My parents did traditional herbal medicine and pulled out that green oil Vietnamese people love to breathe in, y'all know what I'm talking about. After a lot of rest, worry, Mucinex, NyQuil, Tylenol, Promethazine, etc. I'm finally recovering and tested negative recently. But it ain't over bc we don't know what the long term effects are. My lungs and stamina are at its weakest and I feel sharp pain sometimes just laying on my stomach. . . I am extremely frustrated at individuals who refuse to wear a mask and not take this shit seriously. I don't understand why there is even a debate over a WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC, a whole ass health crisis. We are now less than a month away from voting for our next four years.. I urge everyone to remember that our future is NOT single issue. There's so many things we are fighting for and against…so…stay informed, mask up and please vote. This will be my third time being able to vote and I will hellaaaaaa exercise this right. ✌🏽 . . #annagoodsonillustrationagency @annagoodsonillustration
