I dress up and go out into the world, present a certain image of myself, a certain identity. Then I come back home, exhausted and spent. And in the privacy of my bathroom I remove the layers one by one. Only then can I truly be myself, when I’m not watched. I even hide from my mirror sometimes. And in that state of not being watched, I get the only chance to tend to my wounds.
