Vans is Hiring a Digital Designer, DTC Creative (Costa Mesa, California)

As a Digital Designer, you will create best-in-class digital brand executions that will fuel the Vans DTC ecosystem. You are an expert in designing compelling, clear, and creative digital marketing assets such as banners, emails, and social media campaigns. You have the ability to take seasonal product stories from the Consumer Category teams and translate them into channel-right marketing assets that drive product conversion and sell-through. You also have a passion for design systems and guidelines and have the experience to create new digital design systems from scratch that can be used across multiple platforms.

You are a future-forward, creative thinker and are up to date on the latest trends and innovative technologies in digital design and beyond. You are hyper-aware of today’s digital consumer and have a passion for creating seamless, user-friendly digital experiences in every project.
Salary: $86,400.00 USD - $129,600.00 USD annually

REQUIREMENTS

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years

  • Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know:

  • Expert experience with digital design tools such as Adobe CS, Figma, Sketch, and/or other industry standard digital design tools

  • Expert experience creating digital marketing assets for major brands including emails, banners, and social media assets

  • Experience with product photography and art direction

  • Experience creating digital brand guidelines and design systems for major brands

  • A strong understanding of the digital user journey across all relevant platforms

  • Experience working for or being in-house at a major brand

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver clear and compelling digital marketing assets that fuel the Vans DTC ecosystem

  • Develop guidelines and design systems that express the Vans brand identity and clearly communicate key information to our consumers such as product features and benefits, head-to-toe styling, and brand storytelling

  • Partner with DTC Marketing and Creative partners to deliver projects seamlessly from brief to execution

  • Constantly be looking for ways to improve processes, find efficiencies, and produce better creative results by relentlessly focusing on the end consumer

  • Bring new ideas and outside-the-box thinking to the work

  • Be adaptable, agile, and nimble

  • Deliver conversion-driving marketing assets and digital creative season over season

  • Be a consistent cross-functional partner to all teams
