Unwell is Hiring a Graphic Designer (Los Angeles)

We are looking for a versatile and highly creative Graphic Designer to join the Unwell team in Los Angeles. You will report directly to the Art Director and play a critical role in designing and executing a wide range of visual assets across brand campaigns, merchandise, events, digital platforms, and social media. The ideal candidate is a strong conceptual thinker with exceptional design skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is deeply connected to culture and emerging trends. 

This is a full-time role based in Los Angeles. We offer a competitive salary (based on experience), health insurance, 401(k), and opportunities for creative leadership and growth within the company. Annual salary range $75-90k.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience (agency, brand-side, or freelance) 

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma); bonus if you have skills in After Effects, or 3D programs (like Blender or Cinema4D) 

  • Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to translate strategy into powerful design 

  • Exceptional typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills 

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines 

  • A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of creative work, including branding, digital design, campaign work, and merchandise 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience. 

  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Execution: 

  • Lead the design and development of marketing materials, social media campaigns, event branding, merchandise, packaging, and experiential assets 

  • Translate creative briefs into powerful visual narratives that align with brand goals and resonate with our audience 

  • Prepare polished, production-ready assets for both print and digital use 

  • Own multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work on time 

Concept Development: 

  • Collaborate with the Art Director and broader creative team to brainstorm and concept new campaigns, brand extensions, and product launches 

  • Support storytelling initiatives through thoughtful design that is bold, memorable, and culturally relevant 

Brand Stewardship: 

  • Maintain and elevate brand consistency across all Unwell IP 

  • Update and evolve brand guidelines as needed for new initiatives and campaigns 

Trend Monitoring and Innovation: 

  • Stay at the forefront of design, culture, music, and lifestyle trends 

  • Bring fresh creative thinking and innovative approaches to every project
