The Metropolitan Museum of Art is Hiring a Producer, Email (NYC)

As the Producer, Email, you will create produce and deploy email campaigns to build the museum’s brand, generate revenue and increase retention & acquisition. As a crucial part of the Marketing department, you will deliver email campaigns for stakeholders across the museum including Membership, Education, Development, Marketing and Retail. You will be responsible for all aspects of the Museum’s email lifecycle including content creation, HTML coding, scripting, list management, deployment and analysis.

Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 / Annually

Location Requirements

At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. “Commuting distance” means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the “Tri-state and PA” areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, or related field

  • 2-3 years experience in email marketing

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Experience in email HTML, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver

  • Experience with producing and deploying emails through an email service provider

  • Experience working with subscription lists, targeting rules, and dynamic scripts

  • Experience with work in a fast-paced environment and self-manage workloads

  • Experience with identifying challenges and communicate issues with diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience working effectively across departments and in cross-disciplinary teams

  • Presentation skills, ability to lead meetings

  • Preferred: Copyediting or copywriting experience

  • Preferred: SQL, JavaScript, or API

  • Preferred: Advanced Excel experience, pivot tables, formulas

  • Knowledge of both Apple and Microsoft desktop operating environments

  • Knowledge of email marketing, HTML, lifecycle automation, and email platforms

  • Knowledge of email best practices, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and EU GDPR

  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, AirTable, or similar project management software
