Book of the Month Club is Hiring a Junior Brand Designer (NYC)
Salary range: $67k - 85k yearly
Book of the Month is seeking a highly creative Jr. Brand Designer to conceptualize, design and produce effective creative deliverables. You will work alongside a talented team of creatives from brief through execution. A successful candidate will have a high impact on executing brand identity, is highly iterative and adaptable, and is fluent in storytelling through animation and motion graphics.

Our mission is to bring the best new fiction forward. Celebrating and championing emerging authors and the distinctively fresh work they are uniquely capable of writing. Providing our readers with books they might not have found elsewhere. Since our founding in 1926, we’ve chosen many unknown books that later became iconic works of American fiction.
REQUIREMENTS
We are open to candidates with 0-3 years of work experience in graphic design and creative execution
Internship and/or work experience at a consumer-facing brand (preferably DTC) and/or agency is a plus
Strong skill-set in conceptualizing, illustration, graphic design, and animation to create compelling, brand aligned creative.
The ability to effectively collaborate with various teams, providing guidance in your subject matter expertise and a willingness to incorporate industry best practices.
The ability to understand, absorb and execute on creative direction and rounds of feedback
An aptitude for time management, organization, collaboration and direct communication.
Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and relevant creative tools
Experience with Blender or other 3D modeling tools is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conceptualize, design and produce high-performing creative assets
Collaborate with creatives and marketers to brainstorm and execute impactful social, digital, and traditional content that reflects BOTM’s brand aesthetic and goals.
Produce high quality content that adheres to our brand’s style guidelines and maintains graphic consistency across all channels, such as our mobile app, web, email, organic and paid social media and print.
Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, while gathering learnings and insights from previous work to make relevant recommendations moving forward.
