Faber Books is Hiring a Publicity Assistant (London, UK/hybrid)

Salary: £28,750

We are looking to recruit a Publicity Assistant to join our Publicity team, providing administrative support to the publicists working across Faber’s adult lists and ensuring the smooth running of the department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for books who is keen to start a career in Publicity. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and an ability to be flexible and prioritise responsibilities in a busy environment will be key.

This is a full time, permanent position, based in our central London office. We accommodate hybrid working but the role requires a minimum of three days a week in the office.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have an interest in how communications can influence the success of a book and a curiosity about connecting books to readers. They will enjoy building relationships and thrive in a team environment. 

This is an entry-level position, but previous relevant office administration experience would be an advantage. A willingness to work evenings and occasionally at weekends is essential. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your work will include managing the team’s day-to-day admin tasks, compiling campaign round-ups, making travel bookings, handling email enquiries and coordinating review mailings, as well as helping to arrange schedules and accompanying authors to interviews. 

You will be required to regularly attend evening events and will also support with the organisation of company events and launches.

Reporting to the Deputy Publicity Director, the role offers a great opportunity to gain knowledge from publicists working across a broad range of titles and genres.
