Dear Jane,
Thank you. They don’t tell you that survival is the hardest, for some it’s even the more cruel part of the ordeal. Putting this behind you doesn’t feel the way it is supposed to. When you’re moving forward with your life, time stands still. Things rewind. Every present moment and future includes a flashback that is yours to keep forever.
I read a Substack article, wishing I had saved it, the writer said that you could never separate a woman from her sword. Please remember Jane that you are never without a sword when your ancestors are protecting you, guiding you and at some point new people come into your life that will build you back up.
