Viviane Sassen is a Dutch artist from Amsterdam whose work embodies fashion, fine art and photo journalism. Much of her inspiration is drawn from her years growing up in Kenya using vivid colors, still objects, shadowed faces and abstract bodies. She is well celebrated, widely published and exhibited, Sassen has also been successful in the fashion world with campaigns for Stella McCartney, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, and Louis Vuitton.
Currently, her work is on exhibit at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris until February 2024. The retrospective comprises of more than 200 works from over thirty years of photography, collage, painting and video.
