Ethical Jewelry Gift Guide

The thing with gifting someone a piece of jewelry is that it’s a personal act. You would have to know how this person gets up in the morning, how late he, she or they stays out on the weekends and if they’re a breakfast bagel or toast sort of human. Essentially, knowing the person well enough to prevent any regifting scenarios.

More often than not, nostalgia comes with the jewelry being gifted. There is a time and place for everything and jewelry can play hugely into such occasions. Jewelry says a lot about someone and where they are in life, professionally, academically, emotionally and romantically. The few times that I have been gifted jewelry it has been very fortunate moments of me gushing quietly to myself a sigh of relief and feeling gratitude that someone knows me well enough.

We researched these brands to make sure that they are thoughtfully owned companies with a zero waste approach to material consumption and responsible practices in design, sourcing and production.
