YAM

Yam is a black owned brand that is nostalgic, vintage inspired, upcycled and handmade to order in Queens, New York. Founder Morgan Thomas pays homage to her mother who influenced jewelry making when she was young and years later Yam was born. Produced in small batches, the collection spotlights nature motifs, pearl accents using upcycled materials. Recently seen on HBO’s Euphoria, this cheeky jewelry line is serving up new nostalgia.

ONE DNA

Black and queer owned brand One DNA offers gender neutral apparel and goods. Ethically produced in safe and fair conditions at independently operated workshops in New York City, the brand is committed to eco-conscious goods. Delivering simple, unisex designs that speaks to empower women while breaking down the boundary between womenswear and menswear.

WILD ONE

Wild One is a design-forward pet essentials brand for both dog and owner. Co-founded by Minali Chatani who spent her life growing up in Jamaica surrounded by animals from dogs, cats, guinea pigs and birds. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in graphic design, Chatani wanted a brand that connected pets and people through thoughtful design, functional gears that looks good in hopes of simplifying the daily lives of fur baby and parents.

SSENSE GLOBAL

SUZANNE RAE

New York designer Suzanne Rae founded her eponymous line in 2010, which is rooted in feminist fundamentals and fashion working as performative art. The line is playful, artistic, socially conscious and responsible. Along with sourcing ethical, quality fabrics, the brand commits to working with family-owned factories.

CLYDE

Before launching Clyde founder Dani Griffiths worked as a fashion buyer, merchandiser and sales director for Assembly New York. In 2010 the Vancouver native, now based in New York City, began making her line of crocheted wool accessories followed by hats and leather handbags and accessories in 2014. Produced in small batches in New York City from Italian materials, Clyde is minimalist and fun.
