Los Angeles based contemporary artist Cheryl Humphreys focuses on the art of communication by way of paper. Works consisting of blind embossings on hand-dyed paper revisits and modernizes traditional prints in a way of tongue-in-cheek culture, texture and using colors as a narrative. Her work speaks with a lot of personality, like if you sat next to her at a bar, the two of you would most likely hit it off in some in-depth, but light conversation. Each piece is thoughtfully formed, with the kind of honest optimism that a millennial generation searches out for.
