Ulla Johnson is Hiring Creative Producer (NYC)

Born and raised in Manhattan, the daughter of archaeologists, Ulla Johnson honed her signature style between the streets of New York and the far-flung destinations of their family travels. The Ulla Johnson label has become synonymous with custom prints, intricate embroideries, and fine tailoring, all of which have earned her a loyal and global customer base.

As part of a growing department that drives and services all brand visual output, Ulla Johnson is looking for a Creative Producer to join the Creative Services team. The role will be integral in working with the Senior Art Director to deliver brand content. The role will manage a variety of projects as well as establishing overall department processes. The Creative Producer will be responsible for delivering end to end production (from pre to post production) across campaign, advertorial, OOH, print, packaging and special projects. They will partner with teams within and beyond the department to drive the most successful productions to realize creative vision on time and on budget.

REQUIREMENTS·

  • 5+ years previous experience

  • Existing talent & agency relationships

  • Creative, innovative and willing to contribute ideas and professional opinion

  • Solutions and deadline driven

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time

  • In-house experience (either brand, agency, photographer) preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with ecommerce team and design teams around the business to interrogate and build concise briefs for Creatives to work to

  • Managing creative resource for responsible projects and working with Senior Art Director to ensure workflow in studio is accounted for and communicate image production updates to E-commerce department

  • Managing coordination of castings, fittings, location scouting, talent & agency relations, photographers, directors, digital techs, stylists, graphic designers, creative consultants, and retouchers

  • Pre-runway styling & prep production

  • Ownership and allocation of yearly, seasonal, and project-based Creative Services budget

  • Identifying approvals and review timings needed with Creative Director, Senior Art Director, and Ecommerce Director, as well as relevant xfn teams

  • Establishing UJ file naming conventions and overseeing creative asset management & xfn distribution

  • End-to-end production from pre to post-production inclusive of budget, calendar & project management; schedule building, defining deliverables; licensing, talent & usage negotiations, on-set production, shotlist; wrapouts, asset, and retouching management

  • Driving concepting to timing and production limitations with Senior Art Director

  • Connecting the dots between creative within the team to ensure efficiency

  • Delivery of final content to Delivery Management team or final delivery to briefer

  • Forward planning for future seasons (planning production calendar with Chief Executive Officer, Senior Art Director, and Ecommerce Director)

  • Managing external partners- content production, collateral production, music licensing, file handoff

  • Operational development for production process within the business
