Summer Fridays is Hiring a Senior Graphic Designer (Los Angeles)

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating compelling visual content across a range of channels, including packaging, visual merchandising, digital, print, and social media. This role will work closely with the Summer Fridays Marketing Team to develop and execute the brand's creative vision, ensuring that all design work aligns with brand standards and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication or related field

  • Minimum five years’ experience in graphic design, preferably in the prestige beauty industry

  • Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and a range of design products

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign

  • Familiarity with Notion, Monday.com or similar project management tools

  • Excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple products and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, startup environment

  • Passion for beauty, pop culture, great design and marketing

  • Must be based in Los Angeles

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and produce visual content for online and in-store, including packaging design, visual merchandising, paid ads, email marketing campaigns, social media, events, product education, merch, and e-commerce assets

  •  Collaborate with the Founders and Vice President of Marketing to execute the brand's creative vision

  • Support all creative programs across brand marketing, retail, digital, product development, and events from conception to execution

  • Collaborate with external creative agencies, marketing, and packaging to develop concepts for product packaging that are on-brand, functional and within cost targets

  • Create and maintain a consistent visual language and library for the brand across all sales channels and marketing touchpoints

  • Ensure all design work meets the brand's high standards for quality, innovation and accuracy

  • Establish a system for design presentations and delivery

  • Manage multiple projects in partnership with the Junior Graphic Designer, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is communicated cross-functionally

  • Contribute to team brainstorming sessions to develop best-in-class campaigns

  • Assist with image retouching, color correction, and creating 2D and 3D renderings for design concepts as needed

  • Support brand video and photoshoots, and possess skills in illustration, animation and typography

  • Stay up to date with design trends, industry best practices and emerging technologies

  • Assist with social media photo assets as needed
