Moda Operandi is Hiring a Fashion Office Assistant (Brooklyn/Hybrid)
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually + Discretionary Bonus
This dynamic role as Fashion Office Assistant provides essential support to the Buying team in all Fashion-related areas, serving as a critical liaison between our internal cross-functional teams and external brand partners. The Fashion Office Assistant will play a key role in identifying new trends and brands, coordinating fashion week logistics, and ensuring seamless communication across merchandising, marketing, and editorial departments.
This is a hybrid position, working one day a week (Wednesday’s) at our Industry City Office in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), including data manipulation and strong visual presentation skills.
Deep understanding of the luxury fashion industry and alignment with the Moda Operandi brand POV.
Autonomous self-starter and confident problem solver, capable of managing projects independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong business relationships and represent the company's interests effectively in-market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Buying Team Support: Assist Buying Director with pre-market and in-season recaps, ad-hoc reporting, presentations, and process-coordination related to trends, exclusives, special initiatives, and new brands.
Fashion Week Calendar: Manage domestic and international fashion week schedules, coordinate show tickets and seating requests, support Exec and Director market scheduling, and organize materials for market and vendor meetings.
New Brand Scouting: Research potential new brands, conduct initial outreach and meetings to screen for business viability, present and track recommendations.
Trend Analysis & Forecasting: Collate trend notes from market and shows, identify and propose new trends, and prepare and present trend forecasts and post-market recaps. Support collaboration with Marketing and Moda Private teams on messaging trends, support press interview research and draft responses related to trends.
Marketing & Site Merchandising Support: Represent merchant priorities in cross-functional meetings. Monitor inventory and sales data to propose editorial and site features, manage the launch calendar for global launches and exclusive brand capsules, and assist with campaign product selection and inventory tracking. Procure assets from brand partners and coordinate across teams.
