Kith is Hiring a Product Development Manager (NYC)

Established in 2011, Kith is a leading lifestyle brand and progressive retail concept that’s celebrated globally for its ability to tell stories, evoke nostalgia and connect product to the passion it’s woven with. Now in its eleventh year of business, Kith has in-house apparel lines for men, women and children, an ice cream parlor in every flagship, a full-service restaurant and a retail footprint in three continents.

The Position

Primary responsibilities include working closely with the Design, Merchandising/Sales, and Production departments. The Product Development Manager is ultimately responsible for the creation and delivery of new products, in conjunction with the design, production, and technical team. Our Product Development Manager needs to understand marketing factors as well as fashion garment construction and design. The role of the Product Development Manager is to ensure the new product design is interpreted and manufactured to brand aesthetic and standard.

**All applicants must be vaccinated and located in the NYC Metro area willing to go into the office 5 days a week in order to work at KITH.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 6-Hi8 years of development experience required

  • Advanced knowledge of construction and costing

  • Luxury, fashion, or direct-to-consumer eCommerce experience.

  • Excellent communication skills (phone, e-mail, and presentations).

  • Writing skills and the ability to speak in the tone of the brand.

  • Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing requirements and technologies.

  • Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation through commercialization.

  • Understands market trends, and customer needs and builds business cases for new product opportunities

  • Manage and executes effective sourcing strategies.

  • Constant communication with our global factories

  • Works with production and design to ensure cost-effective styles;

  • Creates and maintains style profiles and costing information while managing necessary reports; Requests and follows up on costing for all styles developed

  • Ensure that costing is accurate and up to date; aligning to IMU standards

  • Responsible for the development chart of styles/ materials per season; maintaining and making sure it's up to date.

  • Negotiate with the factory for the best industry rate and timely delivery of services/goods.

  • Ensure that all samples are 100% market ready and on time.

  • Document and communicate accurate records of fit corrections, updating all records including BOMs once buy is placed and design changes are made in the fittings; communicate with Production partners once that is done, as needed.
