For Love & Lemons is Hiring an Associate Designer (Los Angeles/hybrid)

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Associate Designer/Designer to join our Design team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong design perspective, and is passionate about creating innovative products across multiple categories. This role requires exceptional organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple seasons and product launches simultaneously.

You will play a key role in supporting the design process from concept through development, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and global vendors to bring each collection to life.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of experience in a fashion design role, preferably within a fast-paced contemporary or specialty apparel environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

  • Highly creative with a strong eye for trend, color, silhouette, and detail.

  • Able to translate inspiration into commercially viable product concepts.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with Procreate is a plus.

  • Strong sketching and CAD skills with excellent attention to detail.-

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

  • Positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design across multiple categories, including RTW, Lingerie, Knitwear, and Swimwear.

  • Create highly detailed sketches, CADs, and artworks that clearly communicate design intent.

  • Strong understanding of embroidery artworks is necessary.

  • Develop, maintain, and update tech packs and BOMs in partnership with Technical

  • Design and Product Development teams.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes across all product categories.

  • Participate in fit sessions and effectively communicate fit corrections through both live fittings and 3D CAD revisions.

  • Maintain accurate product information, including fabric descriptions, garment construction details, and product copy.

  • Create and update internal design line sheets and seasonal collection tools.

  • Assist in managing and prioritizing the workload of a part time Design Assistant, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Communicate regularly with overseas vendors and factory partners to track development, approvals, and sample progress.

  • Conduct ongoing trend, market, vintage, and competitive research to inform seasonal concepts and product direction.
