E.L.F. Beauty is Hiring a Freelance Digital Designer (Remote/NYC)

As the freelance Digital Designer you will be responsible for the design, and execution of visual digital materials for e.l.f. Cosmetics & e.l.f. SKIN. Along with your Art Director, you will handle multiple projects and deliverables, translating project concepts into compelling visual stories based on marketing and business objectives. In this role you will deliver digital solutions for a diverse range of marketing needs across the brand. You should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of effective eCommerce and editorial digital design. A passion for beauty is a plus!

This is a remote position – e.l.f. will provide all necessary equipment to set up an effective home office. Please note that e.l.f. requires full vaccination for our employees.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2+ years experience in a high volume, deadline-driven environment: fashion and technology industry experience.

  • Digital design in beauty a plus

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, deadline-driven.

  • Experience working in an in-house environment and/or E-Commerce.

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative manner and a highly creative out-of-the-box thinker

  • Knowledge of computer programs including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

  • Understanding of current fashion, beauty, design, and digital trends

SKILLS:

  • Aware of trends and new ideas within beauty and social, with the ability to interpret those into high-performing brand-right creative

  • A strong eye for typography and design through a digital lens

  • Passion for beauty and engaged in the social communities that support the industry

  • Ability to balance business goals with creative vision

  • Understanding of technical constraints and digital-first design

  • Communicate information effectively with relevant members of the team throughout the creative lifecycle

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines, quickly managing changing priorities

  • Strong knowledge of digital best practices and channel formats (i.e.: Instagram stories vs. display banners).

  • Ability to anticipate workload and communicate proactively with team members

  • Superior organizational and communications skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Art Director in the design of digital collateral, including seasonal campaigns, emails, paid media and social across the brand.

  • Translate creative briefs into effective design solutions throughout the customer journey while employing best practices per channel

  • Design all assets with digital storytelling in mind across all customer touchpoints; ensuring brand and message consistency throughout the consumer experience

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure images and design come together to create the best representation of our brand

  • Present creative to internal management; addressing feedback with solution-based creative thinking

  • Concept and design in a digital/mobile-first mindset

  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with eCommerce, marketing, social and other departments whose activities intersect with creative
