Diane von Furstenberg is a fashion designer and Founder and Chairman of the company that bears her name. In 1974, she created the iconic wrap dress, which became a symbol of power and independence for women all over the world. DVF is now a global luxury fashion brand celebrated for its effortless glamour, its distinctive vocabulary of print and color, and its powerful connection to generations of women. Von Furstenberg’s commitment to empowering women is expressed not only through fashion, but also philanthropy and mentorship.

In 2005, von Furstenberg received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the CFDA for her impact on fashion. One year later, she became CFDA’s President and, in 2015, was named Chairwoman. She is committed to mentorship at both an individual and institutional level and has long been a champion of women.

The social media manager/content creator will work with the creative & marketing team to help create dynamic content for the brand’s social media platforms. They will be part of a small collaborative team that works on everything from emails, to events to campaigns. We are very collaborative and need a team player who is willing to work on all tasks big or small. The ideal candidate will be able to both create compelling content as well as manage the calendar and posting of the social content.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in photography

  • Some video experience

  • Typography skills a plus

  • Animation skills a plus

  • Proficient in Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, and InDesign

  • Team player—no task is too big or small

  • Eye for design

  • Ability to multitask

  • Organized

  • Well versed in social platforms both established and new

  • Willingness to learn new skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule and post on all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc)

  • Handle all aspects of community management including interacting with our audience, responding to DMs, and liaising with the Client Services team to resolve customer issues

  • Communicate overarching earned media objectives to International partners, and empower them with the tools to execute properly in their regions

  • Distribute seasonal social assets to International partners

  • Manage social budget

  • Create a monthly social calendar for each social platform

  • Work with team to identify gifting opportunities and send out gifting.

  • Work with Marketing Director to create Influencer strategy and manage the day to day program.

  • Conduct and deliver weekly, monthly, and yearly social listening reports that highlight analytics surrounding engagement, follower base, growth, traffic, and top performing posts

  • Implement social strategies that correspond with data, while remaining agile and ready to adjust according to social insights on all platforms

  • Work with PR Manager to deliver influencer insight reports after each collaboration to highlight traffic, social engagement, and impressions on both the DVF account and the influencer’s account

  • Learn what customers want, identify sales leads/product concerns, measure results/audience conversation to help with other aspects of the business

    CREATIVE STRATEGY / CONTENT CREATION

  • Create content for all social channels (from video to photos to animation)

  • Work with creative team and SVP of creative to ensure that social content is on brand

  • Create content/social strategies across all social platforms to engage/grow our audiences

  • Come up with innovative ways to work on social platforms

  • Explore unconventional social platforms

  • Work with Creative & Marketing team to identify content collaborators

  • Translate the brand voice to each social platform
