With Millennials as recently established seasoned adults, we can now make room for Gen Z’s to transition into this delightful next phase of life. Wrought with political uncertainty, a climate change crisis, pending AI takeover and ever-increasing living costs, adulting has really become synonymous with saying farewell to childlike nonchalance and effortlessness. I can’t deny the many difficulties in the quest to being a responsible adult in 2025 but I can speak to the many surprisingly pleasant realizations that make up the joys of my adult life. Although I hope we all fight to guard vehemently a corner within us reserved as responsibility-free, I want to offer some of the joys that come with a 9-5, (mostly) corporate job in a stable, long-term relationship paying rent and taxes.
