Girl To Know: Haley Wollens
East Village native Haley Wollens is known for her imaginative talent in fashion styling, creative direction, and photography. According to creative agency, CLM, her work is “defined by its sense of exploration and curiosity, resulting in arresting images that blend playful physicality with provocative femininity (in menswear and womenswear both).” Her talent has led her to take on projects in film, music, and art, collaborating with other artists in these industries including the rapper Drake, actress Chloë Sevigny, designer Alexander Wang, as well as other renowned creatives and fashion houses.
One of her latest projects includes Alexander Wang x adidas Originals’ Season 5 Drop 2 Campaign, which became available on May 25. This collection is inspired by 80’s athletics and club leisure, and is one of several campaigns that Wollens has styled for Alexander Wang. Wollens is also considered Chloë Sevigny’s go to stylist, collaborating with her frequently, including several covers and campaigns, and recently styling her for this year’s Cannes Film Festival. She has also worked closely with photographer Brianna Capozzi for many of these projects, such as for Le Monde Magazine and Double Magazine.
Wollens is praised for her unique creative style and is recognized as an emerging talent. This is no surprise considering her success as a freelance stylist and creative director. Whether that be magazine covers, ads, or moving images, look out for Haley Wollens.
