5 Good Looks: Molly Goddard FW23
British designer Molly Goddard is fashion’s fashion designer and each collection she delivers with utmost confidence of her brand identity. So, when the autumn-winter 2023 runway show lacked the big, open space and a dozen or so oversized tulles, it didn’t matter.
The new collection is for the East Village meets East London girls and every morning they are dressed according to their mood whether it’s a schoolgirl cardigan, an a-line tulle skirt or what we like to call the “study coats” that pair well with a silhouette dress. All the while she is only going out for her second almond milk latte of the day.
As told to WWD, Goddard went “back to basics” showing in their work studio as it became their low key runway. In past fashion weeks, Goddard has taken to more whimsical and sporty-like venues, but there is something very intimate and special to be invited to a designer’s most personal space, the studio.
