Currently seeking a talented, customer-focused Production Visual Designer to join the web retail design team at our headquarters in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. This position is an amazing opportunity to work for a rapidly-growing and innovative online fashion company. The Production Visual Designer will report to the Head of Visual Design and will work under the Production Design Lead to build and produce daily web content and projects related to the Shopbop Amazon Marketplace website including but not limited to the homepage, lookbooks, online features, promotions, and all other content pages for desktop, mobile responsive formats. This is a role where accuracy and attention to detail is valued and expected. This position requires strong organizational skills, web expertise, typographic skills/understanding , basic web/CSS development ability and knowledge, and acute attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS

· 2+ years of experience in a web production environment
· Extensive web publishing experience , including the creation of web graphics. Hands-on production of sophisticated multi-page web experiences
· BA/BS in design or equivalent
· 2+ years of experience in and mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
· 2+ years of experience in Dreamweaver/HTML/CSS
· 2+ years Knowledge of Mobile Device CSS Styling
· 1+ years of Retail Web Experience
· 1+ years of experience with a web based content management system
· Familiarity with optimizing user experience and a strong interest in retail usability
· Experience optimizing digital images for web
· Detail-oriented with a sharp editorial eye
· Trouble-shooting and problem-solving abilities
· Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines
· Eagerness and willingness to keep up to date with, and develop upon industry best practice and protocols
· Experience with web content management application(s)

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collecting and following up on designed graphic assets from Visual designers and then responsible for the formatting outputting of those graphics
· Hands-on production of sophisticated multi-page web experiences
· Creation and maintenance of all Visual Design templates and tools as it pertains to the Content Management System buildertool
· Monitoring the CMS builder to ensure it runs efficiently and maintaining relationship with tech partners as it pertains to maintenance or evolution of the tool
· Extensive web publishing, including the creation of web graphics
· Proofing and reviewing experiences prior to launch and ensuring the highest quality is delivered
Responsible for cross-functional distribution and, publishing of those assets
· Work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
· Will be responsible for minor front end development in a controlled environment. Will have the ability to write custom HTML, CSS or Javascript with knowledge of Bootstrap and Angular, as well as JavaScript libraries like jQuery, and CSS extensions like Sass and LESS). This will allow for subtle aesthetic alterations of existing template, the implementation of visual effects or transitions, custom display alterations of image aspect ratios, columns, carousels or animations.
