Salary range: $72k - $77.5k annually
The Copywriter at Kate Spade New York plays an important role in developing customer-facing copy across Email, SMS, Paid Social, digital, print, packaging, wholesale, and other marketing channels.
Reporting to the Editorial Manager, this role will primarily support CRM and performance marketing initiatives, helping drive engagement, traffic, conversion, and customer retention through clear, compelling, and on-brand messaging.
Working closely with the Editorial, Creative, and Marketing teams, this individual will help execute seasonal campaigns, promotional messaging, customer journeys, and testing initiatives while ensuring consistency of voice across all touchpoints.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer who combines creativity with curiosity about performance marketing and customer behavior, using insights and testing to optimize messaging effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of copywriting experience, preferably within CRM, digital marketing, retail, e-commerce, or agency environments; a combination of education and experience will be considered
Experience writing for Email, SMS, Paid Social, and other marketing channels preferred.
Familiarity with A/B testing, personalization, and performance-driven content is a plus.
Deep understanding of the fashion landscape, social, creator, and cultural trends.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to write clearly, concisely, and adapt tone across channels.
Appreciation for the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, voice, and customer, with enthusiasm for contributing to its continued evolution.
Keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
Knowledge of AP Style and commitment to maintaining editorial standards across channels.
Ability to interpret customer behavior, testing results, and performance insights, translating findings into actionable copy strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Write clear, compelling, on-brand copy across Email, SMS, Paid Social, site content, digital, print, packaging, wholesale, and other customer-facing channels.
Create copy for CRM initiatives, including promotional campaigns, triggered and lifecycle communications, customer journeys, and retention-focused messaging.
Bring seasonal marketing, merchandising, and promotional initiatives to life through engaging, customer-focused messaging.
Develop and optimize copy through testing, personalization, and performance insights.
Adapt messaging across audiences, channels, customer segments, and global markets while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
Maintain Kate Spade New York's distinctive editorial voice while supporting broader brand storytelling initiatives as needed.
Translate emerging fashion, social, creator, and cultural trends into relevant, brand-right messaging for evolving customer audiences.
Partner closely with Editorial, CRM, Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, and Project Management teams to deliver and execute customer communications.
Participate in copy reviews, editorial QA, and content development processes to help maintain consistency across channels and campaigns.
