The DESIGN MANAGER will work meticulously to ensure visual assets and brand touch-points are consistent, beautiful, delivered on-time, and reflect both Totokaelo’s and Need Supply’s point of view. The Design Manager will lead an in-house Design Department to translate the overall business objectives into a compellingly designed brand experience. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to coordinate multiple projects on tight deadlines simultaneously. Must be an excellent communicator and motivator, and also able to roll up their sleeves and pitch in to assist the creative team, however needed.

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years experience
Impeccable typography and graphic design skills
Excellent time-management skills
Proven ability to combine conceptual, creative and strategic thinking with tactical execution
Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while executing multiple projects at a time, in various phases, and under tight deadlines
Strong project planning and organizational skills
Portfolio (must be submitted with resume in order to be considered for this position)

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, or something similar
Experience concepting, developing, and executing campaigns for Advertising or Marketing purposes
Copywriting skills
Ability to assess the good from the bad

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a current knowledge of design trends, strategies, platforms, tools, and best practices that are applicable to retail/fashion/e-commerce companies
Ability to prioritize concurrent projects, as needed, and execute last-minute changes
Actively track project status, progress, risk and issues
Deliver innovative and beautiful design directions and solutions that elevate the Need Supply and Totokaelo brands
Organize and plan the design process to ensure highest quality assets are produced for website, printed materials, and campaigns
Inspire, and lead a talented in-house design team
Collaborate with key team members to set the strategy of how design brings the brand to life and use this strategy to guide the priorities and output of team
