J.Crew is Hiring a Digital Design Director (NYC/Hybrid)
Leading the visual direction and creative strategy for our retail brand's complete digital ecosystem, the Digital Design Director will oversee all creative development from daily email communications to comprehensive site refreshes and high impact seasonal campaign launches. This role demands exceptional creative leadership and presentation skills to guide the team responsible for every visual touchpoint customers experience across our digital platforms.
The Digital Design Director will oversee a creative team responsible for all digital visual content, from day-to-day email campaigns to major site overhauls, while serving as the primary creative presenter to leadership
Salary Range: $136,000.00 - $170,000.00
REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of digital design experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional digital design work across various platforms
Deep understanding of digital design principles, UX/UI best practices, and current design trends
Proven experience leading creative teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and contemporary design tools
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce platforms
Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Arts, or related field
Desired Skills & Attributes
Experience in retail or fashion industry
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to translate data insights into creative solutions
Knowledge of motion graphics and animation
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and digital production processes
The ideal candidate will combine creative excellence with business acumen, bringing both artistic vision and strategic thinking to help drive our brand's digital transformation and growth.
