Co-Star is hyper-personalized astrology. Unlike the broad and vague horoscopes you usually read in magazines, the Co-Star app takes more than just your sun sign into account, it uses a complete picture of the sky when and where you were born to generate hyper-personalized horoscopes.

Currently looking for a creative writer to join the Co-Star team on a full-time basis. You’ll help tens of millions of people connect to each other and themselves – through astrology – in real, meaningful ways.

REQUIREMENTS

A poet who is skeptical of poetry.
You generally give good advice. Emotionally intelligent and keenly observant. You perform psychological brain surgery to better understand yourself and the people around you.
You can write real emotion without falling into the traps of self-expression, intellectualization, or bloodless prose.
Your writing is precise and your metaphors are unvarnished. Your style is deep without being pretentious, dark without being emo, and simple without sacrificing emotional complexity.
You have thoughts and opinions on everything from quarantine horniness and historical pandemics to black holes, the abyss, veganism, and the ethics of friendship.
Highly systematic, structural thinker, curious about grammar and technology.
A nuanced understanding of Co–Star’s brand, voice, and mission: “to recover the sensation of life; to make us feel things, to make the stone stony.”

RESPONSIBILITIES

Writing deep, relevant, collective, systematic, dark, and straightforward content for the app – in collaboration with our AI – for the millions of people who use Co–Star every month.
Using astrology as a language to describe real life in a way that emotionally resonates.
Collaborating with the rest of the team to create and implement new content concepts with references like the hero’s journey.
