Baggu is Hiring a Packaging Designer (San Francisco/Hybrid)

Baggu is looking for a full-time packaging designer to join our growing Product Design Team in San Francisco. As our Packaging Designer you’ll design and develop packaging for all of BAGGUs products.

Our ideal candidate is creative, organized and collaborative. This will enable you to develop packaging solutions that effectively capture BAGGU’s brand identity and values, and that are functional across all of our sales channels and products.

As a member of our Product Design team you’ll be part of the small group responsible for creating the physical expression of our brand through products that balance value, longevity, function and delight!

This is a hybrid role (WFH/Studio) that will require weekly time in person at our SF design studio to work hands on with our packaging, products, and the other members of our design team.

Pay Transparency:

  • Full-Time Salaried OT Exempt

  • Base salary of $75k/yr

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years graphic design experience including 2+ years packaging design

  • Extremely high attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Experience with the full packaging design and development cycle including

  • Fluency in current graphic design practices and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong Knowledge of packaging materials and printing/finishing options

  • Strong typography, color, layout and hierarchy as it relates to product packaging

  • Ability to work within and expand upon existing design system

  • Ability to work collaboratively and give/receive productive criticism

  • Understanding of the BAGGU brand

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop packaging solutions for all products and all sales channels

  • Concept and proto-type new packaging designs

  • Update and maintain current packaging designs across channels as needed

  • Troubleshoot and communicate production issues

  • Create, update, and maintain development tracking, packaging files, and quality standards library

  • Proactively work to meet seasonal design calendar

  • Work actively to support our sustainability goals and reduce our packaging environmental impact.
