Breanna's GRWM Diary

How you wake up and start your mornings are important. Everyone’s morning routines are different. Whether you eat a healthy breakfast, go for an early run or indulge in light meditation, the morning should motivate the kind of day you want to have.

Our writer Breanna is a super early bird (and literally gets up with the birds - so to speak).

5:00 am

First alarm...snooze

5:30 am

Ugh! SNOOZE *10 more minutes*

6:00 am

I open my blinds, take a peek at the wild turkeys sitting on my fence (still not used to it), groggily get out of bed, switch on the coffee maker..mhh coffee. Grab that glass of water on my nightstand and chug. Go run back to bed where it's warm and cozy. Honestly, 15 more minutes won't hurt...

6:30 am

Ah! I absolutely have to get up at this point or I’ll be late for work. I do my skincare routine which involves the lovely Curology that has done wonders for my skin. I haven’t found anything else that has helped my skin as much as this brand. Now it’s shower time!

6:45 am

The shower is so warm and it feels so good, but boy-oh-boy do I gotta get out of here! I moisturize for the cold weather for both my skin and hair, brush out the day old curls from yesterday, slap on some good ole Glossier products and open my closet in agony. I have so many clothes, choosing an outfit is overwhelming but one of the best parts of my day. Pick a shirt, pick some pants and let’s get moving.

7:00 am

Yay! Time to eat breakfast! I usually have waffles, oatmeal or a smoothie to get me going. What I eat depends on what time I actually get out of bed, get ready and also what the weather is like. Although, I will drink a smoothie in 50 degree weather.

☕️ The best part of my morning is when I get to eat and drink some coffee. It really helps my day progress with ease when I eat something in the morning, whether its light or not. I need something in my stomach to get me started for the day and fueled. I’m a coffee drinker and it’s the absolute best part of my day. Once I’m all dressed, poured sugar in my travel mug for coffee and have built up the courage to step outside, I go to my car and start the engine to head into the beautiful Bay Area traffic.
