Happy autumn everyone 👋🏽! I hope you are all easing into this colder time of the year with more ideas for transitional outfits that accent your style as you adapt to the seasons. Let’s dive into some style essentials.

Minimal, clean styles are coming back this fall and so is the timeless turtleneck look. Keep warm with one piece of well-crafted pullover that functions as both a sweater and scarf! Muted, neutral tones that are versatile for styling have been especially popular. They also give a nod towards the 90s fashion pieces that continue to make their appearance in 2022.

Hearts are having its moment in the trend spotlight from jewelry to apparel to accessories. Semi-retro and parts nostalgia, the ultimate symbol for love is fitting for a new season of change, renewal and cozy togetherness. Nothing wrong with wearing your patterned heart on a sleeve or bejeweled around your neck.

NET-A-PORTER Limited

Let’s hoorah for a revival of the 90s clean cut black leather square toe boot. Or the round toe boot. The heeled boot. The platform boot. Honestly, any black leather (faux included) boot in any shape or form will do it. Endlessly chic and always looking put-together, this fall I am on a mission to get the perfect pair of black boots. Whilst I’ve previously argued for the all black look, the all black boot is sure to complete any outfit, colorful or monochromatic.

Flowy, silhouetted trench coats that graze just above the ankle, hanging close to the body and draping it in a shroud of waterproof canvas or cotton. Deep pockets, statement buttons, waist ties and double-breasted collars. Need I say more? Trench coats are functional and fashionable, taking care of both fall/winter warmth and your personal style.

crochet bag

Knit and crochet looks are still all the rage having made their comeback in 2020 when the pandemic was hitting us hard. Now I will get my hands on (either by making or buying) one because they just give such texture to an outfit. Also, this texture is symbolic of the fall/winter time, where any knit pattern just makes us feel cozier.
