Spot & Tango is Hiring a Freelance Graphic Designer (NYC)

Looking to hire a Freelance Graphic Designer eager to collaborate with a highly motivated and fast-paced team. You are comfortable using a variety of design skills, including illustration, to bring designs to life! You have a strong portfolio of successful design work, a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, and comprehensive, expert-level knowledge of Figma, Adobe Suite, and related design software. You can contribute ~20 hours a week. Preferable working hours are between 9:00 am-6:00 pm EST.

Spot & Tango is an innovative pet health & wellness brand that delivers personalized meal plans on a subscription basis. Our recipes are developed by leading animal nutritionists, and are made with only real, human-grade ingredients... and nothing artificial! REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years working as a visual, graphic, or product designer

  • Experience with digital design (display and social ads, organic social posts, emails, landing pages)

  • Experience with illustration required

  • A keen attention to detail and a passion for good design and aesthetics

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Understanding of how designs will be executed in digital and physical production mediums

  • Self-motivated designer who can manage responsibilities and is flexible to an agile, start-up environment

  • You take pride in your work and go above and beyond to get deliverables over the line

  • Deep experience in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop

  • “Nice to haves”

    • Experience designing for ecommerce brands is a big plus

    • Some experience with animation preferred

    • Pet lovers a plus!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with our in-house Sr. Graphic Designer and Marketing team to design work across marketing lifecycle customer touchpoints in both digital and print formats – performance and brand advertising, marketing collateral, blog & social content, landing pages, digital assets, email templates, SMS marketing graphics, etc.

  • Create simple animations and illustrations using defined stroke and style (required)
