Currently  looking for a Packaging Designer to join our Creative Team at our headquarters in Newton, MA. This role reports to our Design Manager–Packaging + Print and will support the design and production for all global product packaging and visual merchandising assets. This role will work collaboratively with our Product Development and Marketing Teams to design on-brand print and packaging collateral.

The ideal candidate will have previous packaging experience, strong design skills, and a passion for all things print! They should be a motivated self-starter with a strong eye for detail. Must have a strong portfolio that showcases knowledge and training in the world of print.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design in the area of packaging– beauty experience a plus!

  • Applicant must live in the Greater Boston Area; our HQ is located in.Newton, Massachusetts.

  • A strong design portfolio that displays your knowledge of the print production and packaging process. Applications without a link to a portfolio website or attached .pdf will not be considered.

  • Experience designing in-house for retailer or at an agency designing print collateral and assets.

  • Expert knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong understanding of print production and pre-press practices..

  • Ability to multitask under tight deadlines.

  • Strong understanding of composition, typography, and color.

  • Tuned into current and developing trends in print, illustration, and packaging

  • A detail orientated designer, able to design pixel perfect layouts.

  • Self-motivated and eager to take initiative, able to work independently while prioritizing workload to meet all deadlines.

  • Able to take creative direction and respond positively to feedback.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute production design for all global packaging projects across both primary and secondary SKUs– adhering to all outlined production specs and brand guidelines.

  • Work collaboratively with in-house Creative, Product Development and Marketing teams from brief through print production.

  • Update existing packaging as needed to ensure compliance and brand standards are always met.

  • Responsible for all pack revisions including typesetting, layouts, translations, etc.

  • Create working comps for proposed packaging concepts, building 3D models and renderings for internal and external presentations.

  • Assist with concept development for seasonal campaign and kit concepts

  • Support Visual Merchandising team in asset production for in-store merchandising refreshes and uploads across all markets.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to design PR collateral, event signage, and influencer activation print collateral.

  • Prepare and check final pre-press artwork for all assigned projects under the guidance of the design leads.

  • Participate in weekly cross-functional meetings to discuss and track projects.

  • Own organizing and cataloging packaging and print proofs into a working archive.
