Current films include The Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All At Once, Alex Garland’s Men, Jenny Slate and Dean Fleischer Camp’s Marcel the Shell with Shoes On and upcoming films Ari Aster’s Disappointment Blvd. starring Joaquin Phoenix, and Celine Song’s directorial debut Past Lives.

Currently looking for a Temporary Indie Publicity Coordinator (6 month contract with possibility of extending) to support our Indie Distribution team. A24’s Indie Distribution team works across publicity, marketing, and distribution for the company's slate of arthouse films, documentaries, partnership movies, and other special projects and specialized releases and is responsible for all written materials for A24 titles. This person will have 1-2 years of professional or relevant internship experience, preferably in Publicity. The position is NY based and will include the need to travel locally to events and screenings.

This position is overtime-eligible with a target hourly rate between $19 and $22. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting hourly rate within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional setting and/or relevant internship experience, preferably within PR

  • Very strong organizational skills

  • Adept at time management

  • Efficient and attentive to detail

  • Prior experience with office work

  • Strong communication skills

  • Humble, diligent, and resourceful

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle filmmaker and talent travel for all Indie titles

  • Create, update, and send out talent and filmmaker schedules

  • Work press days, press screenings, and special events and screenings on all Indie titles

  • Update all PR related documents, including PR/release timelines, reaction memos, status reports, campaign highlight snapshots, etc.

  • Set screenings and create and provide print requests and liaise with PR agencies on screenings

  • Help with festival prep and coverage

  • Work with talent and filmmaker reps on various questions and requests

  • Schedule calls between Indie team with filmmakers and PR agencies

  • Circulate agendas and action items from calls/meetings with PR agencies and filmmaking teams

  • Assist and support with other departmental tasks as needed

  • As well as performing other responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned to you from time to time
