Masterclass is Hiring a Senior Brand Designer (New York)

MasterClass is looking for a highly conceptual Senior Brand Designer responsible for developing and executing the overall brand design strategy, including creating and maintaining the visual brand identity, defining brand guidelines, and leading the design of all brand-related materials. You will work closely with the Creative Director, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and quality across all touchpoints.

Salary Range: $111,000—$145,950 USD

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of experience in brand design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design and branding.

  • Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

  • Experience leading and managing design projects, including collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience leading a small team of designers

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present and articulate design concepts and ideas.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with digital media and video production.

    • Experience designing for e-commerce and subscription-based products.

    • Experience working in house and agency side.

    • Experience in leading design teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the visual brand identity, including layouts, typography, color palettes, and other visual elements.

  • Define brand guidelines and systems to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.

  • Lead the design of all brand-related materials, including individual classes, original series, product elements, and new swings.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Performance, Product, and Content, to ensure brand alignment across all channels.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior designers, ensuring high-quality design work and timely delivery.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the brand remains relevant and innovative.

  • Be a strategic thinker with a proven history of working at a high-level and delivering effective design solutions, with an understanding of the business context of their work.

  • Tie design concepts back to business insights and data, and be able to articulate how design decisions impact the company's overall goals and objectives.

  • Be a strong marketing collaborator with experience working with copywriters, art directors, photographers, editors, and animators across a range of disciplines including advertising, brand identity, performance marketing, product design, and email design systems.

  • Have experience working with and managing outside vendors, including production houses or advertising agencies.
