Review: We Are Wild Skincare
For my weekend getaways I pack light. A weekender bag stuffed with necessary basics, a pair of good shoes, and thanks to We Are Wild my toiletries and skincare bag slimmed down for the better. There’s today’s modern skincare regimens with a diligent number of steps, and then there’s recreation skincare. The latter is We Are Wild, created and designed for everyday recreation and the adventurists. It also helps that it’s TSA friendly.
We Are Wild is back to basics with an innovative approach. There’s good technology behind it, using the latest in Probiotic, Fermentation and Antioxidant R&D. Fermentation and Probiotics aren’t the usual suspects in the skincare game, or at least you seldom hear about it. Yet, it turns out that the potency of them working together can combat skin sensitivity, redness and increase cell renewal, which in turn helps to fight acne and aging.
Besides my daily deodorant applicator, this was my first time using skincare balms. The easiest application, less is more, less worry (vegan and cruelty free) and I love that I can take these 3 products with me anywhere.
SOLID CLEAN PROBIOTIC CLEANSER

If you tell me something is a 3-in-1, I can’t help but be skeptical. The thing with this cleansing balm is that it really does do 3 things in 1 application. The first seconds of application you feel nothing, then add water and it quickly turns into a cleansing oil. As you’re gently scrubbing away, your entire face is covered in micro-foam and suddenly your skin feels nothing but clean. No dryness aftermath, and it feels like all residue has left my skin. No fragrance and it’s loaded with natural fruits and floral extracts as well as panax ginseng root extract to boost hydration and fade uneven skin tone.
SOLID WATER PROBIOTIC TONER

This Probiotic Toner is a 5 star product that deserves its own podcast. Rolling this on my face feels like jumping into a pool on a hot, summer day. The instantaneous coolness renews my tired face without any tingles or irritations. This is so much different from other toners I’ve tried, likely due to the the probiotics, fermented anti-oxidants and water, it leaves my face dewy and even moisturized.

Good news is that I’ve finally found my moisturizer for the fall and winter season. This Nourishing Balm is a 5 star product, because it’s super loaded with some of my favorite ingredients such as Sunflower, Meadowfoam, Jojoba, Macadamia, Moringa, Camellia, Safflower, Tamanu, Olive, Rice Bran, Mango, Shea Butter all equipped to soften and nourish troubled skin. I even apply a little on my sometimes dry chapped lips and a few eczema spots, which does help relieve dryness. The best thing about this Nourishing Balm is the oil factor, which leaves my face ultra moisturized (just like it says it would) throughout the day and night up until the morning.
We Are Wild is performance skincare since they do exactly what they are meant to, affordably and in functional balm applicators. The company is based in Portland, Oregon but made in South Korea. Female founded by Sally Kim, whose good on paper credentials offer a wide scope of innovative thinking and creativity to building a natural skincare line.
